I just recently bought Milosh's new album, New Territory so then came the idea to blog his releases. Mike Milosh is one of the mosttalented male singers i have come across. With 4 releases to date, there is not one song that can disappoint. His voice has been declared as Sensual, airy and smooth, and that is just right. Listen, and ive provided a band camp link to all his albums....just hit up google to find some free download links.
Imagine jj and Milosh working together on a track....
Though he'd prefer you to simply listen to his beats then reading this, Nico has literally been throwing it down since the age of 14. His tunes are simply too much for words to handle. check it. props to tommy t for this one.
BAHWEE, yes it is all caps is a must for this guy. Hailing from California, he produces purely beats of all sorts, but they all have one thing in common, its that headnoddin stuff, no matter what your doing or where you are, BAHWEE comes on and you start bumpin to it. His first release Headnodders Volume II is more upbeat and gangster, but his second release Flavors, wants to make to sit back, light the blunt and chill for a couple hours. Now our school's lost its sense of entertainment by blocking Youtube, so all I can preview for you is a remix of Forever.
Two new releases from jj, reminds me to blog about them.
jj is probably one of my favorite all time finds. This music is indescribable, the closest similarity i can think of is the xx, this band consists of a male and female duo. They keep their sound so mellow eerie it just sends you trippin.. so soothing and dreamy. Most of their songs are remakes from other songs, like imagine Akon's Troublemaker, slower, and re-sung by an amazing female vocalist, no need to imagine, Listen.
Here is a few earlier releases, hard for me to pick the better ones, but seriously just download all three albums.
If your a fan of Zion-I, you might just get as excited as i did when i came across a solo project from one of the producers that make up the hip-hop duo, he goes by the name of AmpLive. On this album he remixes songs from Radiohead, and gets people to feature over it. This tape is amazing, lots more AmpLive if your interested, just find his other releases yourself. Peace.
So here is remix artist, Tor. He does some solo projects but this particular mixtape features samples from Aesop Rock, Outkast, Brother Ali, Gift of Gab (Blackalicous) and more, mixing it with the soothing voice of Sufjan Steven. Mixing certain songs off the hit album, Illinoise.
Enjoy....
Devin the Dude is a well known underground rapper who's raps with a spaced out flow. Besides sex, relationships, ridin' trucks, smokin' reefer, drinkin' beer, partying, and conscious or proverbial themes, much of devin's work is also light-hearted and comically self-deprecating. Now, check out dese breezy tunes.
This is an upcoming album that i cant wait to get my hands on, heres a little intro that has been released to excite... featuring Travis Barker, from Blink 182, i had to look twice too when i saw Travis Barker featured on this track.
Will be posting the album when its out, due to be sometime tomorrow....
Alright, so this is a group of college students from Long Beach, this first album of theirs is killing it. Bump this shit on your stereo the whole way through. They focus on their lyrics and want you to hear what they have to say, with a couple remixes to help them on their way. I especially love the remix they do of Blu and Exile's Greater Love
With that said step away from the mainstream tracks for a minute and give these guys a listen.
Some stand outs - No Greater Love, All Black Everything, Thorough (feat. Jett)
